The guys did a fantastic job on my 1980 Hydrostream V-king. New transom, stringers, core and floor. Then gel coat and BEAUTIFUL blue metal flake just like back in the day. They also helped me find old school supplies like the larger square metal flake. It looks better than it did in 1980. In 2007, I took on a fiberglass boat, partial restoration project. I had no experience working with fiberglass resin, cloth, or gel coat. I was young and dumb. I went and talked with Bob and Jeff about my project. They talked with me and gave me some pointers. In the end, my project turned out well, but I learned a valuable lesson. Comments: I bought a 1979 Matercraft stars and stripes (1st boat I learned to ski on) and it was in rough shape. After initially contacting Bob and Jeff we were off and running on a total restoration. Throughout the whole process I was amazed at the amount of communication received regarding updates, costs, any additional items needed (and there were a bunch) etc. There were NEVER any surprises and were always upfront on everything, including always willing to sit down and talk about any questions or concerns I had. Great aluminum welding !!!!! I had A crack on both sides of my bow of my Lowe String 195. It was from the trolling motor. They removed the damage part of the bow, reinforced it, and welded it back together. They also did a fantastic paint job. Looks like new. Can't even tell it was damaged. Thank you D&S marine. It was worth the trip from Beecher ,IL. I'll have them work on my boat again.

Comments: 18 foot Hydrodyne. Along with everything else they did, they replaced my transom with a thicker, stronger transom. They repaired/replaced some of the balsa coring, they added stringers and a floor, then sprayed gel coat to the deck and buffed it out. D&S made the boat look like a new boat, it looks really nice.

The D & S crew brought my 2017 Lund Crossover back to life after being hit on the water by an inattentive boater. The damage involved the inner and outer aluminum transom skins as well as the riveted rear corner of the boat. They were able to disassemble, straighten and refinish the boat to match what was there from the factory. Bob and Jeff were great from the initial estimate through completion of the repairs as were all other staff that I encountered. In the time of COVID, parts took longer than anticipated to arrive from the manufacturer but D & S kept me updated and complete the repairs in less time than quoted once they had parts in hand. I would recommend D & S to anyone needing professional boat repairs at an honest, fair price.

The leaf spring on my boat trailer broke while traveling on I-90. My trip was immediately halted to the roadside where I sat for 3.5 hours waiting for a tow. After a few phone calls to find the right place for the emergency repairs on the trailer I was fortunate to meet some of the most incredible people at D&S Marine. From reassuring me on the phone that they could fix the issue to the quick turn around once the boat finally arrived, they were beyond accomodating. Great people, great customer. 5 stars isn't enough!

Bought our 1998 Parker 1800 center console "new to us" several years ago while I was stationed in NC. Somewhere along the way I noticed a crack along the transom. I had it "repaired" while in NC and it held up "well." Just a few weeks ago the same crack in the transom reappeared. I did my research and found out that D & S Marine, Inc was the place to go if fiberglass repairs were needed. I took our boat there and I was informed that it may be worse than it seemed but further investigation had to be done. Upon that investigation, I was called and asked to visit the shop for them to show me what they found (I had NEVER had that happen, VERY PROFESSIONAL in my opinion.) They showed me that the transom laminate is beginning to pull away from itself. After a few possible options were given, the BEST option was to fully replace the transom. With that in mind, the transom was replaced and better than I expected. The professional, personal demeanor is beyond reproach. The work performed was above the done exceptionally well and in a timely manner. I will HIGHLY recommend to ANYONE wanting any fiberglass boat work done, to have it done by D & S Marine.

"After my new Ranger had an unfortunate meeting with a bolt on a dock, I took a picture of the damage to D&S and was given an estimate on the spot. I had heard great things about Jeff, Bob, and the crew at D&S so I took my boat in on Saturday morning to be repaired. "I had some hull issues that I took to a variety of companies in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I won't go into detail but they either had poor customer service or made the issue worse. My motor mechanic, Mike Lee, has done great work for me for over 20 years, recommended D & S Marine. All I can say is Bob and Jeff are two of the most professional guys I have worked with. They fixed my hull and re-carpeted my interior while they were at it, now my boat looks like brand new. It took a while to get me in because it was peak season but once I was scheduled the turnaround time was quick. The final bill was a little under the estimate and they worked very well with my insurance company. I am telling all my friends to take their boat to Bob and Jeff if they have any boating needs."

"GREAT TRANSOM REPLACEMENT JOB!!! I picked up an 18' Sylvan Rodmaster Boat early 1980's model last summer. The deck and transom were shot. After replacing the deck myself, I checked around in town and was told this was the place to get the transom done. I brought the boat up there and was given an on the spot written estimate. I liked the price and left the boat there. The next day I purchased a tarp to cover the boat, brought it there, and one of the employees dropped what he was doing and helped me cover the boat. Prior to the purchase, they told me over the phone what size tarp to get, AFTER STOPPING WHAT THEY WERE DOING WHEN I CALLED AND GOING OUTSIDE TO MEASURE THE BOAT. The replacement was done quickly and I am VERY SATISFIED with how solid and professionally the work turned out. Great, friendly people running this place and the work they do is THE BEST! I saw several other boats inside in various stages of repair/restoration, as they DO IT ALL IN BOAT REPAIRS. (see their website!). If you need ANYTHING done on a boat, TAKE IT HERE. "This review is long overdue. I own a 2015 Lund 1775 Impact that had paint issues. The paint was soft. My local dealer arranged through Lund to have D & S to repaint my boat from the bottom up. New decals - the whole nine yards. I was very skeptical at first because it was not going back to the factory for this. 

Well, let me tell you. These guys did a great job. The boat looked new again. They did a better job than the factory. And actually wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied. Quality's not found in too many businesses today. Thanks, guys, for a great job."

"Our new-to-us 2000 Supra Legacy was badly faded and had multiple gouges in the gel coat. D & S buffed out the oxidation and repaired/color matched the gouges. If you didn't know where to look, you'd never know that they repaired the damage to the gel. The purple gel coat came back extremely well considering it was very faded to start. We are very pleased with the work and will be back this fall to have gel coat repair performed on the keel/chines."

"Our 73 Tahiti Jet boat is a family heirloom that has been neglected for years. It needed a complete rebuild of the floor, stringers, and transom. Multiple repairs to the hull along with stripping the paint that had been applied to cover the original gel coat and then an entirely new gel coat. 

We wanted the old-school heavy metal flake from the '70s. D & S did it all, the boat is better than new and the gel coat and metal flake are top-notch. We can't say enough about how happy we are with the entire process and results.

"I just recently had the floor and carpet done on my 1995 Tuffy Renegade. Bob and Jeff are awesome guys. Earlier last year I also had them do the transom as well. That is when we found out the floor was not done correctly by the previous owner. And as a result, needed to be redone. 

If anyone is looking to get any fiberglass work done or interior work done, I highly recommend the guys at D & S Marine. Their work is amazing and they make it as affordable as you can get and make sure the job is done right the first time so you don't have to worry about it in the future. THANKS AGAIN GUYS!
